I  came on to ask if anyone has any tips about using old yarn. I picked up some white 2ply baby wool because I have a shawl and a layette pattern. I have a swit to get it into balls, but have to be careful if the yarn is "sticky" because the spinning sets my head off. sad.   I have some other hanks and that's how I know embarassed Maybe it's because I have to be too close when it turns. 8ply was OK because I just did not look grin grin Cheers, Ann
