Hi Christy

I was in the same boat when I was pregant.  I didnt know if I was having a girl or a boy, so I choose neutral natural colours.  I made a stripey blanket out of Debbie Bliss Wool Cotton, as its soft and warm at the same time, and I used a blend of Cream, Rust, Navy, Pale Lilac and Pale Yellow.  It had colours to suit either X.

I had a boy by the way  cheesy

Hope that gives you an idea.
take care

Thanks for this and I also need help with idea with the colors of yarn. I am going to make that blanket in a book called "Knitting for baby" by Melanie Falick.

Here the picture of example:

Blanket that baby is playing on Cream/Pink one.

I wanted the different colors in it not two colors. That uses good both boy and girl.

Thanks for big help.

Three colours would look good, without looking to plain.  I would stick with soft neutral colours, maybe a cream, lilac, and pale blue.  Or you could use stonger colours, like lemon, green, and rusty red.

Hope that helps inspire you.
take care
